Look at our creek! Wonderful progress has been made

Last week, Shane (our friend from M'bah who comes down to give us a hand every few weeks) and Andrej and Ollie, our German Help-Xers spent some time clearing out weeds from around the creek. They did a fantastic job and it really shows what we can do to repair the habitat down along the creek.
Shane spent a fair bit of time and effor around the small creek that flows from our other paddock, through the stand of Hoop Pines and joins the main creek, Leycester Creek, just here.He even made a little log bridge to more easily get across.

Steve standing in between two big piles of weeds, including a lot of privet, that we will burn in the next few weeks. I got down there and spent an afternoon pulling and cutting out more weeds.

After visiting the Lismore Tender Centre, this morning, we dropped in at the Lismore car boot market and bought trays of tube stock of Lomandra, lilly pilly, cunjevoi, red cedars etc - alla bout about 200 individual plants which we shall start, this week, planting around the creek. This is really exciting though it's a long term project.
